- Notes: Fragmentary remains of Therizinosaurus were discoveredin southern Mongolia. A late Cretaceous dinosaur, its skeletalstructure (other than an arm) remains a mystery. This dinosaur had sickle-shaped claws over 2 feet (0.6 meters) long. It may have used this formidable weapon for attacking and butchering its prey, or digging up huge ant nests.
