- Notes: Found in South Africa, Melanorosaurus was one ofthe largest prosauropods. It had a bulky body, elephantine legs,and a long tail. Although like all prosauropods melanosaurids could stand upon their hinds legs, because of their great size they tended to walk on all fours.
