- Notes: Discovered in Alberta, Canada, Dromiceiomimus wasprobably one of the most intelligent dinosaurs of the CretaceousPeriod, with a brain larger than that of an ostrich. It was also aswift runner, capable of speeds up to 40 mph (64 km/h).Its relatively weak jaws had no teeth, but as there is no evidencethat Dromicieomimus swallowed stones for use in digestion, it isunlikely that it ate plants. Its hands are well-adapted for digging, which suggests that it ate insects and eggs. Because of the largesize of its pelvic canal, Dromiceiomimus may have given birth toits young, rather than laying eggs.
